Opening of "Signals and Warnings" by Jim Arendt
12:00 pm
“Signals and Warnings” contains pieces by artist Jim Arendt that were inspired by the manufacturing and agricultural landscapes in America. Arendt draws upon his own experience growing up on a farm near Flint, Michigan to create works that explore how these blue-collar sectors and their relationships with society have evolved over time.
The series will be on display at the Steven F. Gately Gallery beginning May 10 and running through June 17. Admission to the gallery is free.
