Free Public Tours with the Florence County Museum - Inside Out 

An in-depth, docent-led tour is a great way to obtain a better understanding of any of our exhibits. Regularly scheduled docent-led tours take place the third Thursday bimonthly at 5:30 pm. A tour of any one of our galleries lasts approximately thirty minutes.

Inside Out 

Florence County Museum is proud to present Inside Out, an exhibition of works from Asheville, NC collectors, Ray Griffin and Thom Robinson.

This exhibition features contemporary Southern Appalachian art in conjunction and contrast with self-taught “Outsider” art and artists, and their unique position relative to fine art in the American South.

Inside Out also addresses the role of private collecting in the art world, and explores the unique connections and relationships that form between collectors, artists, and art institutions.

Inside Out is on view in the Special Exhibit Gallery from February 20 through July 14, 2024.
